Deputy Commanding General Marine Corps Forces - Pacific calls on Commander of the Navy
 

The Deputy Commanding General Marine Corps Forces – Pacific, Brigadier General Brian Cavanaugh called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters today (28).

Senior Enlisted Leader to PACOM Commander, Admiral Harris B Harris, Sergeant Major Anthony Spadaro, Office Director for Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for South Asia, Ms. Brittany Billingsley, Deputy Defence Attaché at the US Embassy in Sri Lanka, Mr. Jacob English, US Naval Attaché, Lieutenant Commander Brian Page were also present on this occasion.

During the meeting, they held extensive discussion on matters of bilateral importance as well as future operational and training aspects of the recently established Marine Battalion of the Sri Lanka Navy. Besides, the US delegates also held dialogue with the Commander of the Navy, on issues pertinent to future Naval affairs and means of strengthening defence partnerships between the two countries. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the significance of this event.
