Five persons with 154.6 kg of Kerala Cannabis apprehended by Navy Patrol Craft operations in Northern Seas
 

Sri Lanka Navy Patrol Craft, apprehended 3 suspects with 154.6 kg of Kerala Cannabis transferring by a dinghy. The apprehension was made in the seas northwest of Kankesanthirai yesterday (23). Further search into the incident revealed information of two more suspects in connection to this cannabis transportation in Uduththurei sea area. The two suspects and a dinghy were also arrested. The arrested stock of cannabis, suspects and dinghies were handed over to the Kankesanthirai Police for further investigations.

The Navy had arrested 700 kg of Kerala Cannabis during search operations carried out in northern seas from 2016 to 24^th February 2017.
