Navy renders assistance to transfer a critically ill fishermen ashore
The Sri Lanka Navy managed to transfer a critically ill fishermen ashore yesterday (26), who was onboard a multiday fishing trawler named ‘Sanju Putha’ which left for fishing practices from Ambalangoda area. Having dispatched the Fast Attack Craft P 441 to the location, 8 Nautical Miles (13 km) off the Port of Hambantota, the patient was safely transferred to the craft and brought to the Hambantota harbour. Subsequently, he was rushed to the General Hospital, Hambantota for further medical treatment.
