Navy apprehends 19 kg of Kerala Cannabis

On receipt of intelligence information, naval personnel attached to SLNS Gotaimbara located in Pungudutivu and SLNS Wasaba in the Delft Island belonging to the Northern Naval Command seized 17 kg of Kerala Cannabis hidden in the general area of Oththapanai in Delft Island yesterday (17). The arrested haul of cannabis was produced before the Delft Police for onward action.

 Further, another 2 kg of Kerala Cannabis were recovered from the general area of Viyaparamulla during a search operation carried out by the naval personnel attached to SLNS Uththara in the same Naval Command on 16^th December 2016. The apprehended cannabis were handed over to the Point Pedro Police for further legal action.
