66th Navy Day Islamic Religious Ceremony
An Islamic religious ceremony was held in view of the Sri Lanka Navy’s 66th Anniversary at the Jummah Masjid Mosque at Chatham Street, Fort today (30). Blessings were invoked on the Navy and Naval personnel during the religious service attended by the Director Naval Dental Service, Rear Admiral Douglas Perera, Director Naval Projects and Plans, Commodore Sudath Kurukulasooriya, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Navy Muslim Association, Captain Akram Alavi and senior naval officers and sailors.
Sri Lanka Navy celebrates its 66th Anniversary on 9th December 2016, giving prominence to religious activities and time-honoured naval customs and traditions.
