Four persons apprehended with 80 kg of Kerala Cannabis
 

Naval personnel attached to the Fast Attack Craft P 424 belonging to the Northern Naval Command arrested 4 persons with approximately 80 kg of Kerala Cannabis yesterday (31). The naval personnel had intercepted the suspicious boat by means of which the suspects attempted to transfer cannabis to the country, in the seas off Kachchathivu Island.

Having brought the suspects and stock of cannabis to SLNS Elara in Kareinagar, they were handed over to the Officials of Police Special Task Force, Jaffna for onward legal action.
