Three suspects including an Indian apprehended with 36 kg of Kerala Cannabis and a stock of drugs

Naval personnel onboard SLNS Ranajaya attached to Northern Naval Command, arrested 3 suspects including an Indian national who attempted to smuggle 36 kg of Kerala Cannabis and a stock of drugs into the country by means of a dinghy in the seas off Delft Island yesterday (14). The naval personnel also took the dinghy, 2 GPS units and 2 mobile phones into their custody.

The apprehended persons and items were handed over to Police Special Task Force, Jaffna for onward investigations.
