Seventy-five naval personnel receive houses from HE the President
 

During a ceremony held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute today (12) under the patronage of His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena, seventy five (75) naval personnel received houses constructed under Api Wenuwen Api and Sathviru Sanhinda housing schemes. In parallel with the house distribution, further 20 sailors received land ownership deeds offered as part of the government initiative to provide plots of land for War Heroes.

Benefitted by the two housing projects, the naval personnel who reside in Ampara, Matara, Hambantota, Monaragala and Polonnaruwa districts received their houses today from the President. The aforesaid housing schemes which are vested upon the War Heroes who made sacrifices in defence of the motherland, is being operated under close supervision of His Excellency the President.

Minister of Primary Industries, Hon Daya Gamage, Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunathilake, Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishantha De Silva, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, Inspector General of Police, Pujith Jayasundara, senior officers from the government and tri-services and family members of tri- service personnel were also present on the occasion.
