A person apprehended with 3 kg of Cannabis
 

On receipt of intelligence a group of naval personnel attached to Coast Guard Station located in Kirinda along with the Katharagama Police Special Task Force personnel, apprehended a person with 3 kg of Cannabis in his possession. The arrest was made while the troops were conducting a joint search operation in Uwakudaoya area on 9^th October 2016 .

The apprehended person and Cannabis were handed over to Thanamalwila Police for onward legal action.
