A person apprehended with 2 kg of cannabis

On receipt of intelligence a group of naval personnel attached to Coast Guard Station located in Kirinda along with the Katharagama Police Special Task Force personnel, apprehended a person with 2 kg of cannabis in his possession. The arrest was made while the troops were conducting a joint search operation in Balaharuwa area yesterday (4).

The apprehended person and cannabis were handed over to Koslanda Police for onward legal action.
