Two Bangladesh Navy ships arrive at the Port of Colombo
 

The Bangladesh naval ships, BNS “Somudra Avijan” and BNS “Somudra Joy” arrived at the Port of Colombo today (29) on a goodwill visit. The ships were ceremonially welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on their arrival.

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne is scheduled to visit the two visiting ships tomorrow (30) and the Commanding Officers of the two Bangladeshi ships; Captain Kamrul Hoque Chowdhry and Captain M Humayan Kabir will call on Commander of the Navy at the Naval Headquarters.

The two Bangladesh ships which are on a six-day official visit to Sri Lanka, are scheduled to participate in an array of programmes and training exercises organized by the Sri Lanka Navy with the intention of promoting the spirit of camaraderie between the two countries.
