Navy apprehends 6 persons with 2.24 kg of heroin in Pallimunai

On receipt of intelligence tip off, the naval personnel attached to SLNS Gajaba located in Mannar in North Central Naval Command, apprehended 5 Sri Lankans along with an Indian transferring 2.24 kg of heroin in Pallimunai area this evening (3).

The arrested persons and the stock of heroin were produced to the Police Narcotics Bureau in Vavunia for onward investigations.
