Navy recovers 25 kg of Kerala Cannabis from Kandakkuliya sea area

On receipt of information from a fisherman, naval personnel attached to SLNS Vijaya located in Kalpitiya belonging to the Northwestern Naval Command managed to recover 25 kg of Kerala Cannabis, floating in the sea area of Kandakkuliya in Kalpitiya today (26). The Navy suspects that the stash of cannabis transferred from India, might have been abandoned by the racketeers.

The haul of cannabis was handed over to the Kalpitiya Police for onward investigations.
