Commander of the Navy rewards the winners of Public Speaking Competition
 

Under the guidance and direction of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, the first ever Public Speaking Competition of the Sri Lanka Navy was held with the participation of a large number of contestants from all naval commands. The competition which was conducted under two categories, namely, senior and junior officers, focused on improving the much needed public speaking skill.

The winners received their cash prizes from Commander of the Navy at the Naval Headquarters on 12th August 2016. Accordingly the under mentioned officers managed to secure the first, second and third places in respective categories during the competition and win lucrative cash prizes worth Rs. 100,000, 75,000 and 50,000 respectively. Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe, Director Generals, senior and junior officers were also present on the occasion.
