Navy renders assistance to clean-up Koneswaram Kovil premises
 

To coincide with Social Responsibility Projects carried out at the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, a cleaning programme was carried out in Koneswaram Kovil premises in Trincomalee on 25^th June 2016. This magnanimous work was initiated under the close supervision of Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Travis Sinniah, in coordination with Central Environmental Authority.

As part of this community service, the garbage littered in the Kovil premises was collected making the area neat and tidy for the pilgrims. Sixty five senior and junior sailors from Naval and Maritime Academy, SLNS Tissa and SLN Dockyard made their positive contribution to accomplish the task.
