Granting of “Virusara Privilege Card” held under the patronage of HE the President
 

The ceremony of granting “Virusara Privilege Card”, as its second phase, was held under the patronage of His Excellency the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Maithripala Sirisena at Rajarata Vidyalaya, Hingurakgoda, yesterday (27). A total of 1,400 service personnel from the tri-forces, Police and Civil Security Department received privilege cards during the ceremony.

Minister of Regional Development, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, State Minister of Defence, Hon. Ruwan Wijayawardena, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Secretary to State Ministry of Defence, Mr A.P.G Kithsiri, Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke, Commander of the Army is Lieutenant General Crishantha de Silva, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala, Chairperson of Ranaviru Seva Authority, Mrs Anoma Fonseka, senior officers from the tri-services, Police and Civil Security Department, recipients of “Virusara” cards and their family members were present on the occasion.
