Navy renders assistance to extinguish a fire at coir factory in Puttalam
 

At the request made by Disaster Management Centre in Puttlam, naval personnel attached to SLNS Tambapanni located in Puttalam in the Northwestern Naval Area, managed to extinguish a fire that broke out at a coir factory in Madurankuliya area on 15^th June 2015. The Sri Lanka Navy rendered their assistance by rushing a Fire Tender and water bowsers swiftly to the location to douse the fire. The fire teams of the Sri Lanka Army, Police and Pradeshiyasabha - Puttalam also joined hands with the Navy in this endeavor.
