Commander of the Navy visits North Central Naval Area
 

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne paid a visit to the North Central Naval Area today (15). Commander of the Navy was received by Commander North Central Naval Area, Rear Admiral Dimuthu Gunawardena upon his arrival and was accompanied by several senior naval officers attached to the Naval Headquarters and the North Central Naval Command.

During his visit, Commander of the Navy declared open several facilities belonging to the North Central Naval Command. Accordingly a Senior Sailors’ Holiday Bungalow constructed in Oyamaduwa was declared open by Vice Admiral Wijegunaratne. Subsequently he declared open the Sailors’ Holiday Bungalow and the Administrative Building of SLNS Buwaneka located in Nachchikudah, with enhanced facilities for the naval personnel attached to the establishment. In a similar vein Commander of the Navy ceremonially declared open the Holiday Bungalow constructed for the senior and junior sailors, the Naval Institute and Area Commander’s Chalet at SLNS Thammanna as well.
