People who were badly affected due to the adverse weather condition prevailed in the country in the past few days, have now started proceeding towards their residences having returned to normality in their lives.

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne presided over a ceremony which was organized to hand over appointment letters and appreciated the service of the civil employees attached to Naval Headquarters.

On receipt of information, naval personnel attached to SLNS Lankapatuna in Eastern Naval Area arrested 6 local fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing activities in the lagoon area of Serunuwara yesterday (02).
