Launching of the book ˝A VIEW FROM THE INTERNATIONAL MARITIME BOUNDARY LINE INDIA – SRI LANKA˝

˝A View from the International Maritime Boundary line India – Sri Lanka˝ the debut book authored by Captain Prasad Kariyapperuma was launched at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayaka Auditorium at the Naval Headquarters on 28th April 2016. Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne and the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne graced the occasion as Chief Guests, and the first copies of the book were offered to them by the author.

Addressing the gathering the Commander of the Navy, appreciated the dedication and commitment shown by Captain Kariyapperuma for compiling a book of this nature which is written based on research. Further, he stressed the importance of naval personnel inculcating the habit of writing and broaden the knowledge through reading and research. Chief of Staff the Navy, Rear Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe, Commandant Volunteer Naval Force, Rear Admiral Travis Sinniah, senior naval officers, a host of intellectuals, officers and sailors were also present on the occasion.
