A defence delegation of Pakistan National Defence University calls on Commander of the Navy
A 19-member defence delegation of Pakistan National Defence University arrived in Sri Lanka on a study tour on 24th April 2016. The delegation was headed by Lieutenant General Nazir Ahamed Butt, and called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters today (26).
The delegation was comprised of defence officials representing, Turkey, Iran, Nigeria and Sudan. They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interests and bilateral importance. Subsequently Commander of the Navy delivered a comprehensive presentation on operations of the Sri Lanka Navy as well.
The Director General Training, Rear Admiral Udaya Bandara, Defence Attaché of the Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka, Colonel Mohammed Rajil Irshad Khan and senior officers of Naval Headquarters were present on the occasion. Mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion.
