Navy extends financial assistance to a student who passed the G.C.E. O/L Examination with flying colours
 

Tharushi Anjalika the daughter of Sri Lanka Navy’s retired Master Chief Petty Officer Adhikaramlage Indika, who achieved the 7th place in all island ranking of GCE O/L examination, was awarded with a sum of Rs. 100,000 to be used for her higher education purposes. As per the direction given by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne this financial assistance was made from the Sri Lanka Navy’s Welfare Fund and was handed over by the Director General Services, Rear Admiral Eric Jayakody at the Naval Headquarters yesterday (22). The Director Naval Welfare, Commodore Rohan Gunawardana and the parents of the student were also present at the event.
