Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of Southern Naval Command of the Indian Navy pays a courtesy call on Commander of the Navy
 

The Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of Southern Naval Command of the Indian Navy, Vice Admiral Girish Luthra who arrived in Sri Lanka on 14th of this month on a six-day official visit, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters today (18).

They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest and bilateral importance. The Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe and Director Generals of Sri Lanka Navy along with the Commanding Officers INS Tir, INS Sujatha and ICGS Varuna, Captain CR Ayyar, Commander S Muthukrishnan, Commander B Ranjan and the Defence Advisor of the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Captain Prakash Gopalan were also present on the occasion. The Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Dharmendra Wettewa gave a comprehensive presentation on operational and training matters to the Indian delegation. Mementos were exchanged to the mark the occasion.
