The Inspector General of Police calls on the Commander of the Navy
The outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP) NK Illangakoon called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters today (8) The IGP was awarded with a Guard of Honour on his arrival. The Commander of the Navy praised the exemplary character shown by the IGP during his five year tenure in the highest seat in the Department of Police.
Further, the Commander of the Navy was very much thankful to the IGP for all the assistance extended towards Sri Lanka Navy during his period of service, and wished him a healthy and prosperous life after retirement starting from 11th April 2016. A host of senior naval officers were present on the occasion to extend their best wishes to the outgoing IGP. Mementos were also exchanged to mark the event.
