Commander of the Navy declares open a new two-storied building at Naval and Maritime Academy
The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne declared open a new two-storied building at Naval and Maritime Academy today (3) at the invitation of the Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Neil Rosayro. The state of the art building is to be allocated as the accommodation block for the foreign officers who arrive here to undergo training at the NMA.
Further, two innovations of the Sri Lanka Navy’s Engineering branch, namely a Tar paving machine and Sand sieving machine came under the supervision of the Commander of the Navy and he commanded the praise worthy effort of the naval personnel who invented such machines for bringing honour to the navy and being so innovative in day today chores. The event was attended by a host of senior officers and sailors of the Eastern Naval Command.
