Twenty-nine Indian fishermen arrested in Sri Lankan waters

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrested 29 Indian fishermen along with one Indian fishing trawler with 9 fishermen North of Thalai-mannar and 3 Indian fishing dhows and 20 Indian fishermen North-west of Kudiremalai Point, poaching in Sri Lankan waters on 5^th March 2016.

The arrested fishermen along with the fishing vessels were handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of Thalai-mannar and Kalpitiya Police for onward action.
