Interest-free loans granted to 45 senior sailors
 

Under the visionary concept of the Commander of the Navy, the 3rd phase of granting interest free loans, worth Rs. 500,000/= each, was held at the Welisara Naval Complex under the patronage of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne and the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne on 4th March 2016. As a result 45 senior sailors were benefited by interest free loans granted under the welfare scheme. This will enable them to settle any outstanding loans, complete partially built houses, meet financial requirements related to their children’s education and any other pressing personal financial needs.

The Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha De Silva, officers and sailors attached to the Western Naval Command, senior and junior members of the NSVU and family members of the benefited senior sailors were also present on the occasion.
