SLN sports personnel clinch 57 medals at the 12th South Asian Games held in India
The sports personnel of the Sri Lanka Navy, who represented Sri Lanka at the 12th South Asian Games held in India, have brought fame to the motherland and honour to the Navy winning a tally of 57 medals which include 03 Gold, 25 Silver and 29 Bronze medals.
Ninety-three SLN sports personnel took part in the multi-national sports event held from 05th to 16th February 2016 in Guwahati and Shillong, India. They represented Sri Lanka in Table Tennis (1), Athletics (9), Football (8), Cycling (2), Kabaddi (6), Archery (1), Triathlon (2), Swimming (3), Handball (11), Taekwondo (2), Wushu (7), Judo (2), Wrestling (5), Musketry (10), Boxing (1), Weight Lifting (4), Volleyball (5), Hockey (9), Basketball (3) and Kho Kho (2).
