Twelve Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan waters
 

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest twelve Indian fishermen along with two fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters North-West of Thalaimannar on 10th February 2016. The arrested fishermen were brought to Thalaimannar and handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (Thalaimannar) for onward action.
