A joint medical camp organized by the Sri Lanka Navy and the Indian Navy was held at the office of the Medical Officer of Health in Neluwa on 23rd January 2016.

The Flag Officer Commanding the Western Naval Fleet of the Indian Navy, Rear Admiral Ravneet Singh, who is on a goodwill visit to Sri Lanka onboard INS Vikramaditya, paid respects to the fallen soldiers of the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) at the IPKF memorial in Colombo on 23rd January 2016.

The Cultural Troupe of the Sri Lanka Navy presented two colourful cultural shows to the naval personnel of the visiting Indian naval ships, INS Vikrmaditya and INS Mysore, at the auditorium of SLNS Parakrama in Colombo on 21st and 22nd January 2016.

Displaying her warm hospitality, the Indian naval aircraft carrier 'Vikramaditya' hosted a colourful reception onboard on 22nd January 2016 while berthed at the Port of Colombo.

Three hundred and eighty-five naval recruits belonging to the 224th regular intake of the Sri Lanka Navy passed out at SLNS Shiksha in Poonewa on 22nd January 2016.
