INS Vikramaditya holds a colourful reception onboard while on a goodwill visit to Sri Lanka
 

Displaying her warm hospitality, the Indian naval aircraft carrier 'Vikramaditya' hosted a colourful reception onboard on 22^nd January 2016 while berthed at the Port of Colombo. The Indian Navy's largest ship is on a goodwill visit to Sri Lanka accompanied by the guided missile destroyer 'Mysore'.

The reception was attended by a large gathering of guests which included Government Ministers of the Sri Lanka, Hon. John Amaratunga, Hon. Wijedasa Rajapaksha, Hon. Faiszer Musthapha, Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, Hon. Daya Gamage, Hon. A.H.M. Fouzie, Member of Parliament Hon. Mayantha Dissanayake, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Engineer Karunasena Hettiarachchi, the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunathilake, the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crichantha De Silva, the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne. They were welcomed by the Flag Officer Commanding the Western Naval Fleet of the Indian Navy, Rear Admiral Ravneet Singh on behalf of the Commanding Officer of INS Vikrmaditya, Captain Krishna Swaminathan.

The chefs onboard the impressive naval vessel were eager to show off their culinary skills, serving a wide array of scrumptious Indian cuisines to their guests with the compliments of the ship's crew who were delighted to receive such an impressive gathering during their ship's maiden overseas port call.
