Lieutenant Commander Ishara Karunaratne presents his book, The Monastic Tradition of Sri Lanka

The book The Monastic Tradition of Sri Lanka (ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ආරණ්ය සේනාසන සම්ප්රදාය) , written by Lieutenant Commander Ishara Karunaratne, was presented to the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters on 18th January 2016.
The book written in sinhala is based on a three and half year-long field study made by the author in fulfillment of his Masters Degree in Buddhist Studies at the University of Kelaniya. It provides valuble information on the subject to those who are interested in finding in-depth knowledge about Buddhist monasteries and the life of monastic Buddhist monks.
