Navy arrests three fishermen engaged in illegal fishing

Naval personnel deployed on a patrol craft attached to the Southern Naval Command arrested three fishermen with a canoe engaged in illegal fishing using dynamite in the Medagala sea area in Galle on 12th January 2016.

The arrested persons and the canoe were handed over to the Fishery Inspector (Galle) for further investigations.
