Facilities of the Navy Golf Driving Range extended to general public

The facility of the Aqua Golf Driving Range, which was declared open by the Commander of the Navy on 18th December 2015, has now been extended to the general public with effect from 01st January 2016. The inaugural session was conducted for the members of golf clubs on 30th December and around 30 golfers attend the session. This is the first Aqua Golf Driving Range in Sri Lanka and it has been built according to a concept of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne utilizing a lake located in the Welisara Naval Complex, taking the scarcity of land in the Colombo area into consideration. The fully-fledged facility will immensely help players and beginners to improve their golf skills.
