Twelve Indian fishermen arrested in Sri Lankan waters

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest Twelve Indian fishermen along with three Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters North West of Thalai-mannar and North of Delft Island on 04th January 2016.

The arrested fishermen along with the trawlers were handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of Thalai-mannar and Kankasanthurai for onward action.
