Twenty-nine Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan waters

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest ten Indian fishermen along with three Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters Northeast of Kokilai on 29^th December 2015.

The arrested fishermen were brought to Trincomalee along with the trawlers and handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (Trincomalee) for onward action.
