Civil employees felicitate the Commander of the Navy

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne was felicitated by the civil employees attached to the Naval Headquarters at a reception held at the SLNS Parakrama Auditorium on 30^th December 2015. He was welcomed by the Director of Civil Administration, Mrs. Devika Liyanage who conveyed the best wishes of civil employees to the Navy Commander, pledging their support to the smooth functioning of the SLN activities during his tenure.

The Commander of the Navy in his address commended the services rendered by the civil employees and praised their dedication shown in the execution of the tasks assigned to them. He solicited their continued cooperation for the programme of actions envisaged for the uplift of the Navy and the professional welfare of the naval and civilian workforce.

To coincide with the event, the Commander of the Navy also presented letters of appointment to 13 civil employees. The Director of Civil Administration also presented a memento to the Commander of the Navy to mark the occasion.

Senior naval officers attached to the Naval Headquarters and officials of the NHQ civil administration were also present on the occasion.
