Commander of the Navy attends the state Christmas festival held in Jaffna

The state Christmas festival was held at the Jaffna municipal council ground under the patronage of His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena on 20^th December 2015. The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne was also among the attendees at the festival organized under the guidance of the Bishop of Jaffna, the Most Reverend Dr. Justin Bernard Gnanapragasam.

The Navy Band provided music to the event where Christmas carols and dances were presented celebrating the dawn of Christmas. A large number of distinguished invitees including Buddhist and foreign clergy as well as residents in the area were also in attendance showing solidarity to safeguard religious amity.
