Navy assists in the repatriation of 34 Sri Lankan fishermen

Sri Lanka Navy assisted in the repatriation of thirty-four (34) Sri Lankan fishermen, who were released from the Indian custody.

The fishermen were handed over to SLN officials by the Indian Coast Guard Ship "Rajkamal" at the Indo-Sri Lanka International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) in the seas North of Kankasanthurei on 21st November 2015. They were safely brought to the KKS Harbour by Sri Lanka Naval Ship Ranarisi and Sri Lanka Coast Guard Ship CG 46, and handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries & AquaticResources (Jaffna)
