The Navy felicitated 07 students for their high performance at their Year Five Scholarship Examination despite studying in a remote school amidst many difficulties. The students belonged to Mohoththuwaram Primary School and one had scored 163 marks while others had been able to receive over to 70 marks through their sheer dedication and determination.

SLNS Vijaya of the North Western Naval Command organized the felicitation ceremony and awarded prizes to the courageous students and the dedicated teachers commending their exemplary performance. The parents were also invited to the occasion to pay tribute to the encouragement and the assistance given to their sons and daughters despite many economic hardships. The students, teachers and parents expressed their heart-felt gratitude to the Navy for the generosity shown by organizing a beautiful felicitation ceremony on their behalf and giving recognition to their efforts.
