Commanding General of the US Marine Corps Installations West, called on Commander of the Navy

The Commanding General of the United States Marine Corps Installation West (MCI-West), Brigadier General Edward D Banta called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters on 13th November 2015. He was accompanied by Mr. Jacob English, the Deputy Defence Attaché at the US Embassy in Sri Lanka.

They held cordial discussions on a range of issues of mutual interests and bilateral relevance placing special emphasis on maritime security, Search and Rescue operations and training of personnel. Mementos were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill at the conclusion of the meeting.
