Six Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan waters

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest six Indian fishermen along with an Indian fishing trawler poaching in Sri Lankan waters at the north-west of Thalai-mannar on 31st October 2015.

A 14-year old boy was also among the arrested fishermen and they were brought to Thalai-mannar pier along with the trawler and handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (Mannar) for onward action.
