Thirty-four Indian fishermen arrested in Sri Lankan waters

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest thirty-four Indian fishermen along with seven Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters North of KKS, South East of Delft Island and North West of Thalai-mannar on 26th October 2015.

The arrested fishermen along with the trawlers which were brought to Kankasanthurai and Thalai-mannar are being handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of Jaffna and Thalai-mannar for onward action.
