Abans provides Rs. 100,000 /= sponsorship to Navy Triathlon

The Navy’s first ever open triathlon championship is gathering momentum attracting generous sponsorships from renowned companies in the island. Abans PLC Sri Lanka, a market leader in electricals and home appliances, provided Rs. 100,000.00, extending the best wishes of the company for the Navy’s efforts in uplifting sports. The cheque was handed over to the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters on 01^st October 2015 by the General Manager Abans, Mr. Lalindra Brahmana.

Sri Lanka Navy being the organizer extends its fullest assistance to all athletes to make its triathlon championship a grand success. Hundreds of male and female athletes representing the tri-services, clubs and schools will compete for the honours at the competition scheduled to be held on 01^st November 2015.

The competition, which offers a wide range of attractive prizes, starts with a swimming event at Dickowita fishery harbour followed by cycling and running events up to Uswetakeiyawa.
