Naval assistance to a patient onboard a fishing trawler

On information received from the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Sri Lanka Navy immediately dispatched a naval craft on 21^st September 2015 to assist a patient onboard a fishing trawler named 'Manoch Malli 10' which was at 45 nautical miles east of Oluvil.

The patient, who had been suffering from a severe chest pain, was brought back ashore onboard the naval craft and handed over to his relatives at Oluvil harbour. He was subsequently admitted to Akkaraipattu base hospital.
