Commander of the Navy attends International Maritime Security Symposium held in Indonesia

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne is attending the second International Maritime Security Symposium (IMSS) 2015 held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 15th to 17th September. Over thirty countries are taking part in the high-profile event organized by the Indonesian Navy for the 2nd consecutive time.

Top ranking naval officers and academics are in attendance to share their expertise and discuss their concerns with a view to forge closer ties to achieve the objectives of the symposium, which is being held under the theme, ‘Maritime Confidence Building and Mutual Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity’.
