Senior Pakistan military officers attending Armed Forces Staff Talks pay courtesy call on SLN Chief of Staff
Three senior Pakistan military officers attending the Sri Lanka and Pakistan Armed Forces Staff Talks paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy, Rear Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the SLN Headquarters in Colombo on 16th September 2015. They were received in accordance with naval traditions by the CofS on behalf of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne.
The visiting Pakistan Armed Forces officers consisted of Major General Iftikhar Ahmad Wyne, the Director General Foreign Military Cooperation, who leads the Pakistan delegation at the annual staff talks, Commodore Zahid Akram, the Director Foreign Military Cooperation and Air Commodore Shahjahan Sattar Khan, the Director Coordination, Joint Staff Headquarters. The delegation was accompanied by the Defence Advisor of the Pakistan High Commission, Colonel Mohammed Rajil Irshad Khan.
They held cordial discussions on a range of mutually beneficial issues with a view to strengthen the relationship between the armed forces of the two countries. Mementos were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill and long standing friendship.
