Navy arrests six persons with 932 kilograms of sea cucumber

Naval troops attached to the North Western Naval Command arrested six local persons with 932 kilograms of sea cucumber packed in polysack bags at Keerimundalama in Kalpitiya on 15^th September 2015. Two dinghy boats and a small lorry used to smuggle the contraband were also taken into custody during the arrest.

The arrested persons, sea cucumber, two dinghy boats and the small lorry were handed over to the Assistant Fisheries Director (Puttalam) for further action.
