North Central Naval Command conducts a field health clinic

As part of the Navy’s Community Development Project, the North Central Naval Command conducted a field health clinic at the Talaimannar Pier Government Tamil Mixed School on 30th August 2015 under the guidance of the Commander North Central Naval Area, Rear Admiral Dimuthu Gunawardena.

Specialist Surgeon Lieutenant Commander RMSK Rajapaksha, Specialist Physician Dr. DLPP Balasooriya, Ophthalmologist UKMD Perera from the National Eye Hospital and six naval & civilian doctors provided specialist treatment for approximately 600 patients at the field health clinic conducted to improve the health standards of the civilians in the area. One hundred spectacles were also donated to the needy patients at the clinic.
