Six Service Entry Candidates commissioned at NMA

Commissioning Parade of six Service Entry Officers of 01/2014 intake was held on 27th August 2015 at the main parade ground of Naval and Maritime Academy, under the patronage of Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Neil Rosayro. Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee Commodore Nanadana Jayarathna, senior and junior officers, sailors, family members of newly-commissioned officers and well-wishers were also present on the occasion.

The Commissioning Parade conducted after nearly a nine-month course at Naval and Maritime Academy concluded with a cultural display performed by the cultural troupe of the SLN.  

Acting Sub Lieutenant AI Gunawardana was adjudged the Best Service Entry Officer of the batch.
